Is the Employer responsible for an Employee's Level II Background Screening?

We are an independent ALF (isted Living Facility) and we have less than 5 employees in our payroll. Usually, when we need a physical we ask them to go get it themselves without any compensation and everyone seems to agree because it is part of their job responsibilities. Lately, we have been having a problem with one of our staffs due to a new law ped by government stating that every direct care employee needs to have a Level II clearance background screening. The employee's argument is that in all her 14 years as a Nurse, she has never been Fingerprinted for background screening nor has she been asked for a Level II clearance in the hospital that she is currently working in. Also, that if she was suppose to get a Background screening that the EMPLOYER has to pay for the Employee to get it. The question in mind, is that am I responsible for her Background screening? She currently resigned from her position but I just want to know if there is any legality between this situation. Thanks!

One night this guy and I were kinda drunk (i was idk about him- he does this thing where he has 2 and pretends to be drunk) and we flirted. It happens that I have had a huge crush on him. Half Blood Prince. There's not as much action in this one as others, but it's a gripping read on other levels. I like getting a look into the life of Tom Riddle and his transformation into Voldemort. Malfoy's struggle throughout whether to go through with his plan is very interesting as well, because although he always wants to prove himself, he ultimately isn't bad like his father. Harry's attempt to hold back his feelings for Ginny as well as clic Ron and Hermione clashing adds a good amount of emotional strength to the story. And there's the right amount of humorous scenes, like Ron drinking that love potion. The cliffhanger at the end left me with so many thoughts: Snape, good or bad? Who is R.A.B? What will their story be like without taking place in Hogwarts? It really set the stage well for an intense final chapter in the series.

Pregnant - paniced and scared - (long) please help.?

i am completely stressed out and making myself sick. i am 4.5 months pregnant with my first child wih my boyfriend of one year. we moved in together 6 months ago. we are both in our mid-late 20's. this pregnancy was unplanned and a first for the both of us. we found out a little over 2 months ago. there is a lot to do in preperation foir this baby. a nursery needs to be built as we currently live in a one bedroom in the basement of his grandma's old house... his sister's family live upstairs. we don't yet have anything for the baby and not much money. a few hours before i found out i was pregnant he quit his job. he has since got s crumby job with his brother in law making min wage at mostly part time hours. we wanted to elope before the baby comes but he says he can't afford a ring. this part is my biggest stress. i don't know why b/c i know he loves me and isn't going anywhere. i just feel like i want the commitment and union of marriage before the baby is born. i have been nagging at him alot lately about getting things done - getting married - looking for a better job - building the room - getting things for the baby - etc. the more i talk about it and nag him the less he seems to respond and get thimgs done. i lost my pregnant mind on him yesterday b/c he played computer/x-box all day instead of looking for a job or other things that need to be done. i have even threatened to leave for a while and go stay with my friend b/c the stress isn't good for the baby. he feels like i'm bringing the stress upon myself? am i? i've had anxiety/panic attacks throughout my teens and 20's and seemed to have gotten it under control but now i am scared to death about having a baby and being a mother that i'm dealing with a lot of anxiety/panic. when i try to leave things alone and give him room to breath or time i just feel this panic like something needs to be done NOW! i don't want to ruin my relationship but also don't want to feel this panic. i have been home sick from work yesterday and today b/c i have a fever and sick stomach i'm sure due to this stress. my work knows i'm pregnant and hopefully understamds - that's just another worry on my plate being home today. please help - i feel lost.

Don't buy an iguana, unless you have the $ and time to give it the proper environment. They have lots of requirements that most folks, (including pet stores) ignore. Just to prepare their "special" and expensive diet takes up to 20 minutes a day. I rescued one and took care of it for 4 years. It grew to 6 feet. The required habitat to allow him room cost me over 400.00 and took two people three weeks to build. I would not recommend this type of pet.

A handyman has been bullying me, what can I do?

Hi, I recently got my door being smashed and I asked a handyman come over and have a look. I stated clearly I expect to pay a certain amount (and not more than that) on the advertisement, but the guy came and torn off two big pieces of my door and created a big hole and told me that he need it for getting the paint code for quotation. He then quoted me a very high cost, so I refused to have the job done. Then I kindly asked him to let me know the paint code but he said that he couldn't get the paint code asHome Depot won't allow unless they creat a receipt by purchase. I then asked him to give me back the two big pieces of my door, but he refused to do so, neither. Now, he refrain me from contacting him and stay as far away from him as possible. But, I just want the pieces back because the hole is so big and I am so heartbreaking, (intially the door is just having some crack). If you were me, how do you feel? What would you do? I only got his email and cell no. but he already has my email, tel. and address. I am worried that he will put me in danger because we had really bad communications. Getting rid of saltwater algae?

I have a large saltwater tank and at the bottom and on the rocks there is a film, now quite thick, of red slime algae. I have many hermit and snails but they don't seem to like it. The algae is like a deep marron color and has the texture of like a slimy material. If anyone has any suggestions on how to remove it, it would help a lot.

How do i lose fat from my glutes?

Im a 19 year old male and its kind of embarring for me to have fat on my glutes, and the rest of my body theres hardly any fat. I walk to work everyday about a mile away and im trying to watch what i eat but sometimes i slip because i have nothing else to eat and i just eat whatever my mother buys. I eat beef jerky everyday at work and that's it at work. I do sit ups everyday, push ups with weights, glute exercises as-well but it seems like the rest of my body is in decent shape but all the fat seems to go to my glutes and thighs and i hate that. I do jump-ropes on days im off but it still seems like im getting no where. Theres no fat on my arms, no fat on my calf's and a little fat on my stomach but most fat seems to go to my *** and thighs and i cant seem to make it go away. This is so annoying and im becoming self conscious about it and it makes me feel uncomfortable because i know my ociates and others notice as-well. What is the best way to contact Social Security regarding repayment of overpayment of benefits?

I worked a few years ago, while receiving benefits, not knowing if I had made more than the maximum income to receive benefits. SSA notified me about the overpayment after I was no longer working and reexperiencing medical problems. I sent them a payment, but they asked me to NOT send any more while they were reviewing my case. I have not received benefits since. I am finishing my education and expect to be employed soon, and would like to pay back my overpayment, if necessary. I think you're having this dream because you've obviously been affected by what your gf did and you haven't gotten over it yet. The fact she sent pictures to your best mate is pretty wierd even if she wasn't with you at the time. Either she was angry with you and wanted to apy you back, or she was messed up on drugs/alcohol and didn't know what she was doing, or she's just not very nice. I guess you haven't been that good either. Anyway, you either have to put it ehind you and stop checking up on her all the time, or you have to move on and call it a day. REDISH,PURPLISH SORES ON INNER LABIA?

ok so for the past week and a half ive been experiencing intense itching down there and figured it was another yeast infection but called and made an appointment to see my dr anyway.. but my appointment isnt for a nother week and needed sum relief so i went out and bought sum cream to ease the itching.. and i thought it was working because it was itching as much... until yesterday when i was in the shower i noticed a red i guess "sore" would b the word.. and then noticed 3 more smaller ones to the side of it and freaked out!! at first i thought mayb it was from me scratching but i really dont know.. so a few hours later when i went to use the bathroom again i noticed that they were bleeding.. not alot. jus when i wiped.. and they werent red anymore they were a dark purple.. they dont really hurt.. and there not "raised" sores it looks like its under the skin.. and im still really itchy down there not as bad as before but its still there.. and i dont know how long i had those sores i couldnt feel anything bein that they are under the skin...or at least look like they are.. theres no pus or anything like that.. its flat..im almost positive that its an std but ive looked it up on the internet and wat i have doesnt really fit into any of the stds.. so i really dont kno.. anyway im totally freakin and im goin to the emergency room tommorrow cuz im really scared..ive never had anything like this in my life.. jus wondering if anyone has heard or experienced this...

How can I get soft hair?

I made the mistake of getting my hair dyed a much lighter shade, and it was so ugly I had to get it dyed again a few days later. Now my hair is extremely dry and I can't straighten it properly. I'm sorry, but to be quite frank, your poem confused me. I didn't get it. Most of the words you said were poetic, but they didn't make any sense. It was filled with words I couldn't decipher, because there was no context. It didn't rhyme, which while I don't mind free verse, lessens my like of your poetry. Also, there were too many references to mythology. I count 5 in the 4 lines. I haven't got a clue about who cronus is, nor do I know whether Tartus is a God or a place. XBox 360 Two Red Lights...?

So i have the two left lights blinking red on my 360. xBox.com site said it was due to issues with overheating. I had already moved the system to the top of a wooden speaker housing and between the two a thick slab of granite sized just right to not block the air vents. When the problem persisted i looked at forums, they suggested keeping the power supply cool and moving the system so it used its own outlet. After doing all of that it has only extended the delay from five/ten minutes to more like twenty/thirty. It occurs occasionally when i play a DVD and when it does it takes, normally, at least an hour. So does anybody have any other suggestions? This is really annoying as i can play games just long enough to think it wont turn off, then BAM it has to cool off for about an hour.

I've been trying to conceive since January. My period was due yesterday, no sign of it. I usually spot for a couple of days before it gets here, no spotting at all. I took a test yesterday and it was negative. I'm feeling very bloated, achy (in the pelvic region), and tired for the last week. My periods are normally like clockwork so I can't tell if this is early pregnancy or a fluky late PMS thing. Has anyone tested negative and then turned positive later and how long did you wait to retest? I want to take another one now but don't want to waste it. Do I have to let my husband choose our new baby son's name?

13 Days Past Ovulation....Is It Too Early To Test?

Well today is the day I am suppose to get my period. I have a 27 day cycle.. The only thing is...I don't think it's coming. My day of ovulation was on May 31st and me and my fiance did the do the 30th, and 31th that I know for sure that his sperm successfully came inside of me. Fast forwarding to now....Here a some of my symptoms so far: Elevated temp (I'm usually 97.6...I have been 98.1 or higher for over a week), Sore throat (since 4 days past ovulation), stuffy nose, runny nose, nausea, feeling out of it, feeling warm, pelvic twinges (kinda feels like AF is coming but it's not),a little dizzy, very annoyed all the time, headache, burping (for no apparent reason lol),gy, my feel full and i can see blue veins starting to show and my nips won't go in (lol),tired all the time, last night and the night before i have woken up hot and sweaty (same thing symptom i had when i was pregnant before with an eptopic last year), and i just have that feeling of being pregnant.I know that some of those symptoms could be a sign of a cold but I read in different places where women had colds and became pregnant. I usualy get my period in the day and I haven't got it yet and I am not having cramps that i usually have before it comes. Question about my kitten being mauled?

My cat was killed today. She is an outside cat by day. Today a little girl from across the street who is around 10 or so took my 6 month old kitten into her backyard and was jumpimg on her trampoline wih my cat. While jumping she threw my cat into their dog run. My kitten was ripped to shreds. This little girl has been told twice to leave my cat alone. Hi I have a question relating to Goths and peoples views on what they think of Goths?

I sometimes get a few stares but mostly compliments from "normal" people. My style is more on the elegant side than the punkish side so I guess I have that going for me. My husband dresses very normal and most people are surprised when they have known him and meet me for the first time but they are all very nice. I have had one person tell me "that it is not Halloween yet" but I just laughed him off and he was more uncomfortable than I was (I think he was expecting me to get mad and throw a fit). My husband actually finds Goths more attractive than normal people. It is kind of funny b/c we have been together for so long that he is starting to dabble in goth a bit and asks me to help him find/make clothes. A 15 year old boy disappeared after school. No sign of him. Police were called and searched day and night for an entire WEEK. He was finally found at a friend's house (the parents let him stay there and didn't contact his parents or police, knew he didn't even go to school)... If you watch the news you can see kids get abducted and murdered all the time, and the police were searching for this kid. So it stupid of the parents to not contact anyone...or was it entirely the kids fault? I mean, the kid is definitely to blame, but would you also blame the parents?

I also could not figure out why I had to pay tax on what the attorney got directly especially using TurboTax... Wish I could remember exactly what was done but I know our good tax guy filed a special form and deduction.. Our case was a contingent case and we never "laid hands" on the money which I remember he said was very important in order to not claim it as income not sure if tha'ts your situation or not. High testosterone and PCOS?

I've had high testosterone levels for the past four years, I've been underweight the whole time, so no weight gain. My doctor thought I might have PCOS so he had me do an ultrasound inwhich they did not find any cysts. My question is there any way I could still possible have PCOS even if my ultrasound came back normal? Also my doctor put me on Yasmin the birth control and my testosterone levels went back down to normal. I got off of it about a year ago and my testosterone levels are up again. Is it normal for some women just to have elevated levels of testosterone? I feel fine and I actually like the higher testosterone as opposed to normal levels. Sorry about all the questions my doctor does not do a good job of answering them.

Should i transfer to another college?

I go to West Chester university in Pennsylvania as a freshmen and right now i am disappointed with the college experience. I was a quiet guy in high school, painfully shy when it came to girls and I never had any real friends in high school. I thought that college would be different but its not. West Chester is literally like 15 minutes from where i went to high school and I am missing my high school every day. About 50 kids I know from my high school went to Penn State main and I kinda want to go there cuz its a beautiful campus and theres so much to do. This is a Really Weird Dream that I Had....?

So, my hometown (although in the dream it looks nothing like my hometown at all) totally floods, water over rooftops and everything! The water is super clear though, like pool water. I go snorkeling (although I'm completely submerged and can breath underwater in dreams anyway) and I'm wearing a frilly, red and white, floral, one piece bathing suit. So I go snorkeling and as I turn a corner, there is this HUGE great white shark there. His face is almost as big as a house (I didn't see how long he was). He just roars (sharks can't roar, I know) and shakes his head as I remain petrified by fear. Then, I woke up. I had this dream when I was six, and many years later, our school DOES flood!!!
