Is a vote for Obama/Biden a vote for the demise of the Democratic party?

Not at the moment, but if Obama is elected, and the Democrats remain in control of the congress, it might be especially if neither he nor congress does anything to help the US. If things goes badly, it might be real bad news for the Democratic party.
