I have a wall in my home office that sticks out into the room, not a 90 degree corner a 270 degree corner?

There is an old dowell to bridge the two pieces of drywall, what is the best way to make that look neater. Could I use corner moulding to hide the ugly drywall job. I don't see how patching will give me a straight line. Any suggestions?
