I like my Spanish Teacher...What do I do?

So I go to a University, and I have a huge crush on my Spanish instructor. He's pretty young, and at first I thought it was inappropriate, but I feel I would really like this guy as a person. I want to get to know him. I'm pretty sure he feels the same way, (its that vibe I get) but how the hell would he go about it either?? I bumped into him downtown and did not know what to say because I don't want to come off as some sort of hussy and hit on my teacher! lol...so I acted like I didn't care, but I tried to subtly give him the hint with my body language. When I said hi, I lightly squeezed his arm and when I bumped into him again on the way out I just gave him a big smile and said and said BYE...my friend walking behind me said I was walking way too fast and he wanted to say more but I didn't give it a chance...and that I was dumb not to say more to him, but what would I say without being inappropriate or awkward? She said I should have invited him to where we were going next, but I completely chickened out! I see him in cl 4 times a week, and its not even half way into the semester... How do I do this without coming on as too forward?
